Know which numbers are established

Alpinestars’ cited manufacturer page confirms approximately 4.5L of expansion, a padded laptop pocket, magnetic chest buckle, built-in helmet carrier and included rain cover. It does not specify the starting capacity or laptop screen-size limit. We leave those fields unknown rather than importing retailer figures without primary confirmation.

The body has a semi-rigid front and a clamshell opening with an inner gusset. Those features are relevant to loading and access. They should not be presented as evidence of rider crash protection or as a substitute for the certification and fit of a separate protective device.

Make harness adjustment the first fitting task

Wear your normal riding jacket and load the pack with the items you intend to carry. Adjust the harness for your torso according to the instructions before tightening it indiscriminately. Check the position of the central buckle against jacket fasteners and whether the straps permit your normal reach.

Try removing and putting on the bag in the way you will use it after parking. A release system can be valuable when bulky clothing makes ordinary straps awkward, but that benefit is personal. Check it with the gloves and jacket combination that matters to you, while safely stopped.

Test cargo without assuming a base volume

The absence of a verified starting litre figure does not prevent a meaningful fitting. Pack the actual computer, lunch container and clothing, then inspect the unexpanded closure. Add the occasional extra item and see whether the expansion accommodates it without forcing the shell or zip.

Test the rain cover in that expanded arrangement as well. A cover is part of a wet-weather routine, not evidence that the main compartment has waterproof seams. Decide where especially sensitive contents will sit and whether they need their own dry enclosure.

What to confirm before purchase

Ask the seller to identify the exact model, included accessories and computer-pocket measurements. If you want the optional protector, verify the specified model and size against the current fitting instructions, and check the loaded pack again after installing it. Treat the helmet carrier as off-bike convenience unless exact instructions establish otherwise. Choose the Charger Pro when those concrete fitting checks support your needs, rather than because the word Pro implies a universal upgrade.
