What is the best backpack for riding a motorcycle?
The best choice depends on the kit you carry and the exact features you need. Start with documented compartment protection, harness adjustment over your jacket, usable storage and necessary accessories. Our selection guide explains the tradeoffs rather than naming one universal winner.
Are motorcycle backpacks worth it?
They can be when their documented harness, organization and rain-storage features solve a need your current bag does not. Compare the actual design and total kit cost with other storage choices. A motorcycle label alone does not prove comfort, fit or safety. See motorcycle versus regular backpacks.
Are waterproof backpacks really waterproof?
Read the claim at compartment level. For example, Kriega MAX28 protects its laptop pocket while R22 documents waterproof main storage. Neither wording means every pocket can be submerged. Our waterproof guide shows how to check closures and limitations.
Can a motorcycle backpack carry a helmet?
Some use an external carrier; others offer internal space. Check your helmet dimensions and the maker’s stated use. A carrier intended for walking after parking is not automatically approved for carrying a second helmet while riding. Explore helmet-storage layouts.
What does “motorcycle backpack” mean?
Here it means a bag carried by a rider. Some searches use “backpack” as slang for a passenger; those are a different topic from the pack reviews and tools on this site.
