Listed empty weight is 1,800g, and Kriega describes room for a 17-inch laptop in the main compartment.

Before buying, match the retailer’s photographs and product code to this design. A listing that simply says R25 is not enough to establish the closure or waterproof arrangement. Ask for a clear image of the opening and liner when a seller’s description appears to combine old and new specifications.

Treat 25 litres as two spaces

Plan the dry load independently of the front pocket. A spare shirt and electronic equipment may belong together in the lined compartment, while other items can be arranged for quicker access. The full advertised volume cannot be treated as one waterproof cavity.

If your normal office load almost fills the main section, try it with the lunch container and computer sleeve you actually use. Leave the required closure allowance and check whether removing one item disturbs everything else. The right arrangement should work on an ordinary rushed morning, not only after unusually careful packing.

Assess the harness with cargo inside

The R25 is worth a loaded fitting because its harness is a significant part of the purchasing decision. Adjust it over your riding clothing, then sit in your normal riding position on a stationary supported motorcycle. Check your reach, helmet clearance and whether the front buckles sit comfortably against jacket hardware.

An optional reservoir or back-protector insert can use the inner sleeve. Confirm exact accessory compatibility and contents of the package. A pocket alone provides no basis for treating the backpack as protective equipment, and adding a rigid item can change the fit you initially liked.

A sensible buying threshold

Choose this revision when the 20L dry compartment matches your daily requirements and the harness works well with your kit. If you mainly need to carry bulky overnight gear, compare your packed load against larger luggage before buying. The redesign’s waterproof compartment is useful only if you can close it correctly with the belongings you intend to carry.
